Multimedia Fair is coming up soon! All students are invited to participate in the fun.

Family Picnic Today
Today is our family picnic. The picnic starts at 11:30am. We will open doors at 11:25am. Parents/guardians will be allowed to walk to each child's classroom and they will need to sign them out. The picnic ends promptly at 12:15pm. The entire family is welcome to come and enjoy the beautiful day together. This is a special family picnic day. Please keep in mind: the playground will be taped off (it was not made to safely have 100s of students on it at the same time. You are welcome to bring frisbees, balls, hula hoops, bubbles, etc. It is also very windy today. Please keep this in mind as well. You are allowed to take your student after the picnic. However, they will need to be signed out at the front office and this will count as a partial day absence. ONLY parent or legal guardian can check a student out of school. If you are checking your child out, only the child will be sent down hallways to retrieve their belongings. You can wait for them at the entrance of each hallway or get in line to sign them out. We are excited for you to come and enjoy the day. Please also have a very safe Spring Break. See you again on Monday, March 16 at 7:50am.

Dear Los Encinos Parent/Guardian,
The safety and welfare of our students and staff are our highest priority at Los Encinos.
At approximately 3:05 p.m today our campus went into Medical Hold status.During a Medical Hold, students remain in the location where they were when the Hold began, and learning continues. This Medical Hold only affected the students that are dismissed from the front entrance of the school.
Though we regret any inconvenience this may have caused for parents and visitors attempting to enter or exit the school, the safety of all students, staff, parents and visitors is our priority, and we must follow established procedures.
The Medical Hold was lifted at 3:20 p.m and students were able to exit the building for dismissal.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 361-878-2600. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff.

FAMILY REQUEST: It is that time of year to renew a couple of supplies. Classrooms are in need of tissue/Kleenex and Clorox wipes. If you are able to contribute in any way, we will gladly take the donations.
ALSO, reminder if you stay for ANY after school tutoring, support or clubs, it is very important that students get picked up at the correct times, or participation could be discontinued.
As always, thank you for your support.
